We're two mostly retired computer scientists in our 40s focused on traveling the world, spending time with family and friends, and working on projects that are meaningful to us. We met in university 25+ years ago and we've been together ever since!

We travel the world with just our backpacks and typically stay in apartment rentals, living in a new place each month. And if we're in Canada or the US, we may be traveling in our Honda Pilot microcamper and looking for free camp spots each night.

Thrifty travel is a big focus for us. Chris’s passion for fixing things and DIY projects and Em’s obsession with unconventional travel ideas and spreadsheets help us out a lot here! And just because we're mostly retired doesn't mean we don't have a ton of stuff on the go. We still take on a bit of remote work, we volunteer with several organizations, and we're continuously learning and taking courses, with a focus on digital design, writing, and improving our Spanish.

Countries we've visited include Canada, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Dominican Republic, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Hungary, Austria, Greece, Italy, Vatican City, Netherlands, China and Hong Kong, Taiwan, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.
